Unique and Interesting Parks in the Wilmington Area
Parks provide space for neighborhood residents to interact with each other and meet new people. They’re also great spaces for events and for people to engage in recreational activities. This allows people to develop a sense of community. A park is perfect for a picnic, a concert, or a farmer’s market—whatever your community feels it needs. Wilmington has some very unique and diverse parks, some you may not have even heard about until today.
If you live in the Wilmington area and you haven’t heard of Airlie- you have been living a very sheltered life. Airlie Gardens hosts some of the most talked about events and activities in Wilmington. Just for starters every April it is the location for the Azalea Festival Garden party, in the Fall it’s the Oyster Roast, in Winter it’s Enchanted Airlie which features a dazzling display of lights. Airlie also hosts a concert series throughout the summer which is adored by all of Wilmington. You must check it out.
